I would appreciate it if the students of the 10th intake be given valid explanation/s as to why the dates for the next module has been changed on such a short notice without a discussion with the 80 students or so.
I believe each and everyone of us have taken a good look at the schedule that was given to us back in Sept 2003 when we had our orientation. Thus, we have had ample time to give our employers fair warning and have managed to work our work schedule around the given time table that SIM has provided.
Right from day one, SIM has emphasised that classes come first and deadlines are to be strictly adhered to unless valid documentations and reasons are provided. I believed most of us have fullfilled our side of that agreement and i hope that SIM will take into account that in this situation in hand, 80 people are having to bend their schedule to suit 1 person's request.
Having said that, i seriously hope that the assignment and presentation deadlines be reconsidered if the changes made to the dates are not reversible. Also in future, i would appreciate if there some sort of discussion with the students involved when there are future similar changes made to the course schedule.
